EU representation office

Located in the heart of the EU institutions, the ABBL’s European Affairs team in Brussels represents the interests of Luxembourg’s financial sector at the European level.

Our team’s mission is twofold:

  • Actively engage with EU policymakers to advocate on behalf of ABBL members.
  • Monitor key legislative and regulatory developmentsthat impact the banking and financial industry.

To this end, the team maintains an EU agenda for ABBL members on the progress of key legislative issues relating to:

  • Banking Supervision.
  • Financial Market Regulation
  • Digital Banking, Payment Systems & FinTech.
  • Sustainable Finance.
  • Client Protection & Consumer Rights.
  • Legal & Compliance.

“We bring Luxembourg’s financial voice to Brussels — advocating for fair, forward-looking EU policies that support a competitive and sustainable financial system.”

Antoine Kremer

Head of European Affairs at the ABBL, ALFI and ACA
