Sustainability Committee

The scope of the Sustainability Committee covers all regulatory frameworks related to sustainability that may impact the activities, products and services of the ABBL’s members. That includes regulations such as CSRD, CSDDD, the EU Taxonomy, the SFDR, and more.

Beyond regulations, key topics discussed within the Committee cover carbon accounting, climate risks and transition plans, human rights and biodiversity.

It also serves as a steering committee for working groups which deal with more granular topics related to its scope.

Mission

  • Act as steering committee for Sustainability within the scope of the ABBL
  • Serve as platform for exchanges with banks and key external stakeholders
  • Strengthen coordination between industry associations active in Sustainability
  • Ensure adequate coverage of main sustainability topics for the Luxembourg financial sector
  • Define terms of reference and key topics for working groups and approve outputs
  • Discuss ABBL advocacy strategies
